AIMS & OBJECTIVES The original aims of the Network have widened considerably since its inception to include a comprehensive community development and networking service to groups in the catchment area. The primary aims of North Antrim Community Network are to offer a community development service to it’s member groups and to focus on the practice of networking to allow community groups themselves  to share knowledge and experience. The Network aims to provide an opportunity for rural communities to have a voice and an influence, without compelling members to loose their chosen identity, adherence and difference interests. Rural Community Network & Rural Support Networks NACN is one 12 Sub-regional Rural Support Networks (RSN’s) who, along with the Rural Community Network (RCN), collectively comprise a comprehensive Northern Ireland wide Rural Community Development Networking Infrastructure (RCDNI) which can facilitate rural community development and networking on a local and regional basis across rural Northern Ireland. This two-tiered approach to partnership working recognises and values the knowledge and expertise that exists at the regional and sub-regional levels within these individual organisations and beyond through their respective memberships. This creates a legitimacy and an associated sense of collective ownership of what we are trying to achieve.
